Illogo - When Liquids Stay Dry (6,5/10) - Italy - 2007
Italian outfit ILLOGO is quite the interesting band. While, this trio fall firmly into Post Hardcore/Post Metal subgenre they meld their progressive musings to a distinctly more volatile, dissonant and metallic sound than most of their peers. This isn't quite as heavy as fans of the more extreme flavours of Metal will be used to, but the abrasive delivery, caustic vocals and complex nature of the songs makes for a challenging and satisfying listen that is sure to appeal to all lovers of forward-thinking and progressive music.

When Liquids Stay Dry(2007) Voto:8,5
Recensione: Attenzione, c’è un’avvertenza d’obbligo da dare prima di raccontarvi cosa è contenuto in “When Liquids Stay Dry” degli Illogo. Lo so, sembrerà strano detto da una persona che questo disco lo ha apprezzato enormemente, ma qui siamo di fronte a qualcosa che il 95% del pubblico metal non apprezzerà affatto, non verrà capito, non verrà sviscerato fino a coglierne l’essenza, non verrà esaltato questo cd, è terribile ma è cosi.

Finalmente arriva il debutto degli Illogo, i quali ci avevano già impressionati con il loro precedente demo, “Isteresi”.
Ammetto che molte erano le aspettative su questo disco, le quali non sono andate deluse.

"When Liquids Stay Dry" is an album from a band that chooses not to use a name. That'd be too conventional I guess. They use a hand-drawn logo instead (they refer to it and themselves as "illogo").

The first review of the album beacomes from The Netherlands and is a damn crap, so I will not post it. The reviewer (please don't call it "music journalist") has not understood not even the names of the musicians, prefigure if it has understood something about the music. We alwais accept constructive critics, and we don't pretend everyone likes our music, but here is nothing constructive, it's just idiocy.
We hope a serious review will come in next days.

Dopo l'inatteso entusiasmo della stampa di settore per il promo Isteresi (2004), la band italiana ILLOGO, supportata dalla label inglese UKDIVISION, ha pubblicato il primo full lenght album della sua storia : When Liquids Stay Dry.
Dal 2 luglio scorso l'album è disponibile nei cataloghi Plastic Head. Contiene 10 brani e ha una durata complessiva di circa 45 minuti.
